Why do beautiful things work better? And how much beauty can function take? Once again, design icon Stefan Sagmeister provides us with an answer that we can live with very well: “Function tolerates masses of beauty. Function becomes much more functional through beauty!”
Together with his studio partner Jessica Walsh, Stefan Sagmeister returns to Museum Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt with a new exhibition project after the great success of his Happy Show. Sagmeister & Walsh: Beauty delivers a multimedia plea for the pleasure of beauty. Interactive installations take us on an entertaining search: What is beauty and why do we feel attracted to it? Numerous examples from graphics, product design, architecture and urban planning show us that beautiful objects, buildings and strategies not only bring more pleasure, but actually work better.
