Happy Birthday nuuna: This year we’re celebrating 10 years of premium notebooks, made in Germany, exceptional design, high quality materials and 100% notebook love! Looking back, we remember our very first designs from our newly founded nuuna creative lab. Now we happily look back on what has been 10 years of nuuna collections – and what a ride it’s been!
How it all started
nuuna’s roots, however, go back a bit further: It all started 25 years ago with the founding of brandbook. Back then, we set out to revolutionize the notebook industry. We made and designed high-quality notebooks, planners, image books and illustrated books for companies, agencies and publishers who used them as promotional gifts to convey their individual branding. brandbook’s customers include a who’s who of international companies, from Adidas to Zeche Zollverein. Our clients value our creativity, personal consultations and our “Made in Germany” quality that stems from years of well-maintained networks with printers, paper manufacturers and bookbinders.
10 years ago, we launched our own label, nuuna. With nuuna we live out our passion for beautiful books – selling them in our online store, our own store and showroom in Frankfurt am Main and internationally in selected museum shops, premium department stores, concept and fashion stores as well as art-centred bookstores. Keeping a mutual team between nuuna and brandbook in our Frankfurt headquarters.
nuuna goes museum – let’s get this party started!
25 years of brandbook and 10 years of nuuna – that’s something to commemorate! As part of the exhibition “Achtung: enthält Leben. Notizbuch, Bullet Journal, Tagebuch” in the Klingspor Museum Offenbach, we were able to celebrate this special occasion on the 1st of September with friends and clients alike – kicking it off with nice drinks, tasty snacks and cool beats, accompanying the close up opportunity to view a selection of 200 personal notebooks and diaries.
We kindly thank the wonderful Klingspor team and director Dr. Dorothee Ader for the opportunity to be a part of such a unique exhibition and being able to celebrate our anniversary within their space – with bang.
We owe this year-long journey full of wonderful experiences, encounters and projects first and foremost to our customers, business partners, retailers and friends who believe in us and are as passionate as we are about beautiful, high-quality and sustainably designed books.
